Many of us know that Janet Olver has been a dedicated and a loyal member of our AMSkier family for over forty-three years. But only one AMSkier person knows how she began her career with us (I was in the U. S. Army when my Dad interviewed Janet Wiek in 1966). So, we must ask Gail Masker, who was with us for fifty-three years, about Jan's first days with us, when we celebrate the New Year and Janet's retirement at our holiday party, Tuesday, January 12. The Skier family has great pride in the quality and length of Janet's service. Her early years were in our Honesdale office at 825 Main Street, where she, Bertha Lintner, and Bob Hafner worked with my Dad to build a successful business. And, later, when I decided to move our staff to Hawley, Jan joined her Hawley colleagues, who were familiar, because Jan was born and educated in Hawley schools.
So, as we celebrate Janet's retirement after forty-three years, we also fondly remember her distinguished service to three generations of the Skier family. We salute Janet, and we wish her continued happiness and improving health, as she enjoys her retirement years with her husband Craig and daughter Tara.
Thank you, Jan.
